What do you eat for New Year’s?
「Raw fish on rice」の代わりに「sushi」

Hi, Auther!
This is the first time to leave a reply.
I’m really glad to connect you.
Anyway, talking about “Osechi Ryori” , my favorite things are “Datemaki” and “Kurikinton.
I like to make them but a little bit hard for me.
Did you enjoy “Osechi Ryori”?
I’d like to connect you next time.
Bye !
Hey Atsuko!
Thanks for your comment! Datemaki is also one of my favorites.
Hi Authur,
I like sweet chestnut with sweet potato.
Have you eaten Japanese Roasted chestnut? I like to eat it..
I wanted to know about Osechi Ryori.
Thanks.
Chie
Hey Chie!
Thanks for your messge.
I really like Kuri!
Remember, use the Japanese name, not the English translation 🙂
thanks,
Arthur
Hi Arthur!
Happy new year and thank you this column.
This is very useful for me !
By the way,my favorite osechi-ryori is Nishiki tamago made of me 🙂
It’s a boiled eggs ( I use 10 eggs)that is separated white and yellow.
And each part is crushed and added some sugar.
And then the
yellow part put on the white part and steam it.
It’s a little bit sweet,and
very delicious!
Hey Naoko!
Thanks for explaining it to me. It sounds really good!
Instead of saying “made of me”, you can say “made by me” or “my home made nishiki tamago”.
If you say “made of me” it means you are an ingredient!
thanks for sharing!
Arthur
Thank you Arthur!(^_^)
These explanation are amazing!
I think that “Oseti ryouri “are great Japanese custom , so it’s very difficult to explain using materials .
But it’s s0 easy to understand to explain the shape of the food.
I love “Kurikinton” “Datemaki” and “Kuromame”
Thank you momo for your kind comment!
Yes, explaining the appearance of the food is a very good strategy!
Hi Arthur
Happy New Year!
I enjoyed new year holidays with my family.
I made various means for their requests to my sons and daughter.
I like “namasu” in osechi deshes.
Because it’s very simple food.
It’s simple taste. I feel refreshing.
My son like it , too.
We have eaten it soon, so I must make it much more next year, maybe.(^.^)
nao
Hey Nao!
thanks for your comment.
Wow, Namasu! What is that? Can you explain it to me? I can look it up, but I think its good practice for you ( – _ ^)
chewy, stretchy
I love sweets!
thats great! me too!
any guy say many osechifoods. but
my bestone is kurikintone!!
thanks ueki!
I like o-zoh-ni. It has a lot of different ingredients!
My friends of American hate “Osechi”. Do you like “Osechi “?
I want to tell him about “Ocechi” means.
I like Osechi. Maybe your friends do not like different kinds of food. Many americans are very picky
its difficult to share new foods with them.
